Open Channel Flowmeter

Water consumers will need to seek ways to extend the use of  finite supplies of water by the best available technologies. As industrial and agricultural needs for water increase, plans will be formulated to use water more efficiently. So the accurate measurement devices have an important role in managing the finite supplies of water. To response the increasing demand for water measurement devices in Iran, Farasanj is developing an ultrasonic open channel flowmeter which is in final test procedure.

Damascus Fair

The 50th Damascus International Fair opened on the evening of September 2, 2003 by president Bashar-al-Assad. Farasanj booth was located in Iran section along with more than forty other Iranian companies. During 10 days Fair many people visited company's booth. Both Water and Sewage and Oil industry engineers were interested in Farasanj Measurement products. Following their visit, a meeting with the Syrian Housing Minister was arranged. After that effective meeting a unit of Farasanj Ultrasonic Flowmeter was installed in one of main Syria major water stations. Consequently some meetings with the Syrian, Lebanese and Kuwaities delegates were held in Iran. It is expected that clients from these countries being interested to purchase Farasanj ultrasonic measuring equipment. As a result of attending Damascus Fair, new markets are going to be opened to Farasanj.

Mahshahr Oil Terminal

Determining the volume of Oil Products at the importing entrances and accurate measuring of the products imported along with managing the storage tanks is a very important task.

In Mahshahr Oil terminal the conventional sounding methods were applying to measure the volume of the product stored in the storage tanks. This method was very limited in accuracy and data transmission to remote stations.

In order to update the fact and figures of the imported oil products to the Mahshahr Oil Terminal, commercial management of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Co (NIOPDC) signed a contract with Farasanj. This contract included supplying, installing and commissioning the highly accurate ultrasound flow measuring devices made by this company on the product transfer pipelines along with installing ultrasonic level meters on storage tanks. Upon completion of this contract an online synchronized measuring system was established to measure the inlet and outlet flow, total volume of the product input to and output from the storages and also measuring the level of the product content in the tanks locally. This measuring system also provides the facility of remote monitoring the whole operations at the company headquarter in Tehran.
Farasanj completed the hardware and software requirements installations on November 3, 2003 and delivered the updated system to the NIOPDC at the same time.
